Aerolympics is an annual National event being conducted by Aeronautical Society of India (AeSI), Bangalore Branch for the past many years. The event focussed on promoting advancements in aeronautics among school children.

The objective of National Aerolympics is to create an awareness and interest in the field of aerospace engineering among students of 10th, 11th and 12th standard all over India so that they can take up aerospace engineering as their career opportunities.
​
As many as nine events including Project Report, Aviation Quiz, Honours and Awards Quiz, Collage Making, will be held in three categories – individual, team and group categories.

About AeSI
Aeronautical Society of India (AeSI) is the principal Society in India serving the professions in areas of aeronautics, aerospace and aviation. Its stated primary purpose is to “advance the sciences, engineering, technology and management of aerospace, aeronautics and aviation and to foster and promote the professionalism of those engaged in these pursuits”.
History
The Aeronautical Society of India a professional body devoted to advancement of aeronautical sciences and engineering in India was founded in 1948. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was the first Patron-in-Chief of the Society. Over the Years Dr S. Radhakrishnan, Smt. Indira Gandhi, Shri Rajiv Gandhi, Shri P.V. Narasimha Rao, were the successive Patrons-in-Chief of the Society.Over the years, the Society has grown into a major professional body in the field of aeronautics, aviation and aerospace. The Society has 15 Branches at all important centres of aviation in the country.
Objectives
The objective of the Society is to promote the advancement and nationwide diffusion of the knowledge of aeronautical sciences and aircraft engineering among various streams including industry, academia and research laboratories. The Aeronautical Society of India is the only forum in the country that provides intense interaction between professionals from all facets of civil and military aviation as well as the manufacturing/training/maintenance agencies. Over the years, the Aeronautical Society of India has generated large pool of aviation manpower through non-formal education and training programs.
